Geancarlos also known as There Alone, is a motivating and inspirational artist, with over 15 years of experience painting large-scale mural decor for private homes and businesses with His Silhouetted natural imagery art style, he aims to uniquely wrap your walls with the finest quality mural for you and your viewers to enjoy.

As a child living in the Dominican Republic, Geancarlos was moved by nature and the country’s rich flora and fauna. It gave him purpose and instilled in him a deep appreciation and respect for the planet. Nature taught him to express himself through the beauty found in all its texture, shapes, colors, elements and mysteries. His work uses a mixture of aerosol spray paint and latex or acrylic paint to bring life to the blank large-scale walls or canvases with bold colors, solid natural imagery shapes, aerosol fades, and textures transporting you to a place of serenity, beauty and wonder. He draws inspiration from his travels, observing the trees, plants and light in different natural environments. His pieces attempt to bring awareness to the ecological crises our planet is facing, and start a conversation with all communities, in the hopes to change the relationship humans have with nature. His artwork is his way to advocate for a clean and eco-friendly environment that benefits all for generations to come.

He has collaborated with organizations such as the Anacostia Watershed Society, Words Beats & Life, and ART B.L.O.C. DC. Martinez has painted murals all over the DMV area for commercial clients such as, The Bird DC, Uprising, The Emissary Café, Mi Casa, in addition to many private homes in the area. Martinez’s work can also be seen at schools around the area including Ballou High School and the Maya Angelou Public Charter School, and he has been a featured live painter for the Trillectro, Broccoli City music festivals and the Dc Afro Latino Festival.
